3. Cancellation Right

4. Returning Items

4.1 Condition of Returns

To receive a full refund, items must be returned in the same condition as received, meaning they should be unused, in original packaging where applicable, and in resaleable condition. Books should be free from damage, markings, or signs of reading.

4.2 Return Process

To return an item, please contact us first to obtain a returns authorisation. We will provide you with instructions on how and where to send your return. Returns sent without prior authorisation may be delayed.

4.3 Return Postage

If you are exercising your right to cancel within the 14-day cooling-off period, you are responsible for the cost of returning the goods unless the item is faulty or not as described.

If you are returning an item because it is faulty or we sent the wrong item, we will cover the return postage costs.

5. Refund Process

5.1 Timing

We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned goods or, if earlier, within 14 days of receiving evidence that you have sent back the goods.

5.2 Refund Method

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original purchase. If this is not possible, we will contact you to arrange an alternative method.

5.3 Deductions

We may make a deduction from the refund for any loss in value of the goods if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. Books that show signs of having been read or are returned in a condition that makes them unsaleable may receive a reduced refund or no refund.

6. Faulty or Damaged Goods

If you receive goods that are faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact us as soon as possible. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

Please provide photographs of any damage and retain all packaging until your issue is resolved.

7. Exceptions

The following items cannot be returned unless faulty:

Sealed audio, video, or software products if the seal has been broken. Personalised or custom items. Periodicals, newspapers, and magazines (except subscription contracts). Digital content once download or streaming has begun with your consent.

8. Personal Curation Services

Our Personal Book Curation service (£49 per session) is subject to the following refund terms:

Full refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before your scheduled session. No refund if cancelled within 48 hours of your scheduled session. We will make reasonable efforts to reschedule sessions where possible.

If you are dissatisfied with your curation session, please contact us within 7 days. We will review your concerns and may offer a partial refund or a complimentary follow-up session at our discretion.

9. Event Tickets

Tickets for author events and virtual signings are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by us. In the event of cancellation, you will receive a full refund within 14 days.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If you have not received your refund within the stated timeframe, please first check your bank account and contact your bank or card provider as processing times may vary. If you have done this and still not received your refund, please contact us.

11. Exchanges

If you wish to exchange an item for a different book, please follow our standard returns process and place a new order for the item you want. We do not currently offer direct exchanges.
